Cyanongen MOD 10 Nightly an Jelly Bean 4.1.1 For Samsung Galaxy Mini/Pop(updated)

A major change in Cyanongen Mod 10 Nightly has taken place with new jelly bean 4.1.1 it is readily available for download., With Courtesy of the Developers at XDA forums the development of this jellly bean based custom rom is on its roll and has taken a huge leap in its stability and being towards bug free, major changes such as partial working camera(only still image can be captured), full GL support and some other bug fixes, this rom has become the tinsel town for the galaxy pop/mini users, who are eying to see jelly bean being able to run on their handsets.

Cyanogen mod 10 has lot of improvements from its original version and also the latest nighlty update of this rom released on 2 Sep 2012 has made these improvements. CyanogenMod 10 For Galaxy Mini or Pop S5570

Senior Pro Devs like TheWhisp with rohan007, erikcas and hrk is working day and night to resolve this partial camera issue but we have to wait to see whether its is corrected or not, no other major bugs are there on this rom, there are few small ones like the native WiFi tethering and the USB tethering are not available in this update of the rom, but the problem can be coped up by using third party application from play store.

Apart from this there is also an issue of playing HQ quality playback videos, the devs are quoting that
it is due to the lack of OpenMax libraries from Qualcomm which was denied to be released by the corporation back few months. So, until the developers come up with some workaround, there's doubt if CM10 will be able to play HQ videos at all.

It has also eradictad the bugs of the previous nightlys released and has also fixed the issue of the USB mass storage function and now you can copy your data to and from PC to Phone or Phone to PC with an ease.

  • Fixed the issue with Google Apps. Freed some space in the system partition of the rom, which makes it possible to flash google apps from below without having to remove any other things manually. 
Now we have enough details with us to make it luring and also my readers are now thirsty to get their hands on this rom, so here follows the installation instructions.

Installation Instructions:-



 PLZ MAKE SURE YOUR BATTER IS FULLY CHARGED TO AVOID DAMAGE DURING FLASHING OF THE OS IT IS RECOMMENDED

Note : Those who have Gingerbread OS and any Custom Recovery installed on their device can skip Step 1 and Step 2. Also, those who have any custom rom installed can skip both Step 1 and 2.
2. Install any custom recovery available for Samsung Galaxy Mini/Pop. You may have Clock Work Mod Recovery
3.Download latest CyanogenMod 10 (latest) for galaxy mini from below.
4. Copy the downloaded file to the (root directory of) your sd-card.
5. Reboot your device to Custom Recovery (Press Home + Power Button).
6. [Optional but, Recommended] Do a Nandroid Backup of your current rom. 
Now flash this latest CyanogenMod 10 (latest) update in clockworkmod recovery with these steps
    • Choose Install Zip From Sd Card option.
    • Select Choose Zip From SD Card option.
    • Now select cm-10-20120902-UNOFFICIAL-tass.zip downloaded in step 3.
    • Confirm the installation and wait till the rom is installed on you handset.
7 Flash Latest Google Apps for Jelly Bean in CWM recovery.  
    • Choose Install Zip From Sd Card option.
    • Select Choose Zip From SD Card option.
    • Now select the gapps-jb-20120815-KonstaKANG.zip file which you downloaded in step .
    • Confirm the installation and wait till the zip is installed on you handset.
8. Wait till the rom is flashed/installed on your device. Once done, Wipe Data from recovery menu.
9. Reboot your device from your recovery main menu.

Note : It is needed to do a complete data and cache wipe as told in Step 8.
