another low end smartphone launched today by nokia after revamping its Asha series the nokia launches the new device in the series is Nokia 501.
Its a new refreshing device with an amazing revamped OS and called as the "Nokia Asha software platform".
it is more fluid and quick than previous version.
The nokia asha 501 has a 3" inch screen with a resolution of 320X240 QVGA. But the status about its internal storage is not clear but they also made clear is that it will be shipped with 4GB card in the box and it can be extended upto 32GB.
The camera has 3.2 MP resolution at the back and but it lacks LED flash and a front camera.
Talking about its OS It has a dual home-screen view one of which is a conventional app screen which gives users shortcut to apps and also another screen which nokia calls it as a FAST LANE allows the users to view recently used social functions.
It is design is inspired from the Lumia series and available in six colors - Bright Red, Bright Green, Cyan, Yellow, White and Black.
The Nokia Asha 501 has connectivity features like WiFi, Bluetooth and Edge but lacks the punch of 3G in it though Nokia assured in future it will have 3G connectivity
It comes under both dual-sim and single-sim variant bundled with a 1200mAh battery
Nokia priced it around 99$(Rs 5300 approx) and is readily available from June in Indian market
